Mountain summit — a metaphor for Ed's journey

About Ed

The man behind
the coaching.

Who is Ed Riddle?

A psychologist, athlete, coach, and father — who genuinely loves helping people.

Ed Riddle holds a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology and a Master's degree in Sport Psychology from the University of Kansas. During his college career, he was a 5-time Swimming All-American and 4-time Academic All-American — a testament to both his athletic drive and his intellectual commitment.

After his competitive career, Ed went on to coach at the Division I level, where he discovered something that would define the rest of his professional life: the mental and emotional dimensions of performance matter just as much as the physical ones. That insight eventually led him beyond sports and into life coaching.

Today, Ed describes his coaching practice as a passion project — not a business built for profit, but a genuine calling to walk alongside people who are struggling and help them find their way forward.

Competitive swimming — Ed's athletic background

All-American

The Athlete

He knows what it takes to compete — and what it costs.

As a 5-time Swimming All-American at the University of Kansas, Ed understands the mental demands of elite athletic performance from the inside. He knows the pressure, the self-doubt, the injuries, the sacrifices — and the extraordinary rewards that come from pushing through.

That experience gives him a unique ability to connect with athletes at every level — from high school competitors to college athletes to adult recreational athletes who want to perform at their best. He doesn't just coach the technique; he coaches the mindset.

Athletic Performance Coaching

The Philosophy

We all face moments when the weight feels impossible to move.

Ed's coaching is spiritually grounded and deeply practical. He believes that every person — no matter how stuck they feel — has the capacity to grow, heal, and move forward. But sometimes we need someone in our corner who has both the training and the heart to help us get there.

His sessions are conducted by phone or video, making it easy to fit coaching into your real life — wherever you are, whatever your schedule looks like.

The Person

At the end of the day, Ed is just a dad who wants to help.

Outside of coaching, Ed is a father of three sons — Ben, Jack, and Owen — and a man of deep faith. His personal life informs everything he does professionally: the importance of family, the reality of struggle, and the belief that no one should have to face their hardest moments alone.

He describes his coaching practice not as a business, but as a calling — a way to use everything he's learned and lived to make a real difference in people's lives.
